What does the tour cover?

During this 75-minute tour, your guide will:

• explain the work of UK Parliament and its relevance today
• outline how the working spaces you visit on the tour are used
• set out ways you can get involved and engage with the democratic process
• highlight some of the dramatic history of the Palace of Westminster

When can I go on a tour?

During parliamentary sessions

Inside UK Parliament tours are not available on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, or on the day of some ceremonial events. Other closures may be announced at short notice due to parliamentary business.

How to book

UK Residents 

UK residents can request a free 'Inside UK Parliament' guided tour up to three months in advance by contacting their Member of Parliament (MP). You do not have to know your MP personally or support them politically to book this tour. 

Alternatively, UK residents can request a tour themselves by emailing visitparliament@parliament.uk.  
  
School Groups 

All tours for schools are delivered by trained staff from the UK Parliament Education and Engagement team. These tours must be booked directly on the Education booking portal.  
  
Groups (not including schools) 

For other types of groups (8 or more adults, uniformed groups, university groups or youth groups), bookings can be made by contacting their Member of Parliament (MP).
