House of Commons Media Relations Team

The House of Commons Media Relations Team handles media enquiries related to Chamber business and procedure, as well as corporate issues related to the House of Commons. The team also deal with commercial filming requests and oversee the House of Commons' photography and stock footage library.

About the House of Commons media team

Free, fair and unhindered coverage of political and parliamentary proceedings is a hallmark of a democracy. In recognition of this, the House of Commons supports the work of the media and provides access, facilities and information to the Parliamentary Press Gallery.

The Press Gallery has been a part of the Parliamentary Community since the early 19th century and is now made up of over 300 representatives of newspaper, online, wire, radio and television journalists from national, regional and international news outlets.

Journalists can email the House of Commons Media Relations Team or call the enquiry line on 0207 219 0969.

The enquiry line is open from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. During recess the enquiry line is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The voicemail gives details of the number to call in case of urgent out-of-hours media enquiries.
