Commons Chamber empty
08 May 2017

The Houses of Parliament remains open to visitors in the period before the UK General Election on 8 June. Eight extra tour dates have been added in May.

To encourage young adults to register, vote and engage with the democratic process, all UK ‘young voters’ currently aged 18 to 24 can book a free place on one of the tours. A ticket is still required and proof of age will be requested on entry.

During a guided tour or a self-guided audio tour, visitors will discover the House of Commons, House of Lords and Westminster Hall, and see inside the debating chambers and voting lobbies of both Houses.

Tours are available on the following days:

  • Monday to Saturday between 11 and 20 May
  • Wednesday to Saturday between 25 May and 3 June

Tickets can be booked online, by calling +44 (0)20 7219 4114 or in person at the Ticket Office at the front of Portcullis House on Victoria Embankment.

The Houses of Parliament is also taking part in the first ever London History Day on Wednesday 31 May with a range of tours and events.
