Covid-secure measures

We have decided to maintain the following measures until otherwise announced, in accordance with industry best practice and guidance issued by the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions:

Face coverings – These must be worn by visitors when entering through security search points, unless exempt. We recommend that face coverings continue to be worn once inside Parliament.

Reduced capacities – We are operating at a reduced capacity across Parliament with visitors following a set route. Visitor Assistants will be available along the route to answer any questions you might have.

Guided tours - Our guides wear a face covering throughout the tour and use microphones which transmit to headsets provided to all visitors in the tour group. These headsets can also be used with hearing loops.

Hand sanitiser – Hand sanitising stations are positioned along the route for visitors to use.

Mobile tickets – To reduce possible surface transmission, please make sure to print your ticket at home or present your ticket reference on your mobile phone.

Card payments – We are not currently accepting payments in cash in the ticket office.

Cleaning – We are undertaking regular cleaning throughout the visitor route. Multimedia guide devices, headphones and guided tour headsets are cleaned immediately after use.

Please do not visit us if you have symptoms of COVID-19. Follow the guidance on the NHS website if you think you may be unwell.

Before your visit

You will receive an email before the day of your visit with information on security, accessibility, how to find us and what to bring.

If you are taking a multimedia tour, you may either load this on your phone or tablet or use a UK Parliament multimedia device. If you would like to use one of our multimedia devices, please bring your own headphones with a standard headphone jack (3.5mm). If you are unable to bring your own compatible headphones, there will be a limited number available to borrow on the day.

For more information on planning your visit to UK Parliament, including information on the security measures we have in place, please see our Plan your visit page.
