GDPR training (2018)

Details of the recent training delivered to MPs regarding Data Protection and the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation.

This information is held by the House of Commons. A third party was appointed to provide training and support to Members in preparation for the GDPR. The service consisted of three elements:

  1. Scheduled training across the UK
  2. A Members’ Toolkit including, guidance, templates, policies and procedures
  3. Provision of a dedicated advice line

It may also help you to know that MPs are each Data Controllers for the information they hold, so if you have any questions about how they handle your personal data, you should contact the relevant Member directly.  Information about how the House of Commons handles personal data can be found on our website.
