Lighting (2019)

Request

On June 13 this year the Palace of Westminster was lit up with green lights in remembrance of Grenfell (see below).

Can you provide me with all the associated costs related to the lights - installation,
labour and maintenance.

Response

This information is held by the House of Commons. The cost incurred by the House, including the maintenance costs, was £720.

It may help you to know that for events taking place on the estate, including the event in question, the House has used the existing white flood LED lights and only covered the existing lights with coloured film (green colour film in this case), as this technique is more cost effective.
