This information is held by the House of Commons. Catering Services do not purchase palm oil as a stand-alone ingredient. While palm oil is present as an ingredient in a number of products that are available at our catering outlets, Catering Services do not purchase products containing palm oil unless they are marked as CSPO (Certified Sustainable Palm Oil). In addition to this, since 2013, tenders for catering goods and supplies by the House have included a mandatory requirement that palm oil, if used as an ingredient within products, must be sustainably sourced.
This policy is in line with House of Commons Catering Services commitment to maintaining its Soil Association’s Food for Life Bronze Catering Mark. More information about our commitment to promoting ethically sourced, sustainable, and nutritious food can be found in the Catering Services document: Responsible Catering, available on our website.
