Response

Please note that our response only deals with catering orders for which the House of Commons is responsible. Some catering purchases are the responsibility of the House of Lords, which is a separate public authority for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act. You may wish to consider forwarding your request to the House of Lords directly.

This information is held by the House of Commons. The amount spent on jerk seasoning by House of Commons Catering Services in the financial years 2013/14 to 2017/18 is as follows:

2017/18 £                   3,494.40
2016/17 £                   1,108.44
2015/16 £                       108.00
2014/15 0
2013/14 £                   3,992.22

Please note that, after some problems with availability of our preferred brand of jerk seasoning, a bulk order was placed with our supplier in 2013/14. In consequence, no orders were required in 2014/15. Samples of other seasonings were then trialled until a replacement product was identified, after which a further bulk order was made in 2017/18.
