Drinks sales - bars (2015)
Following the general election how many alcoholic drinks have been bought on the parliamentary estate from May 8th until the current date?
Additionally to the above could you list the price of the drink across all bars?
Please note that our response only deals with alcoholic drink sales in venues for which the House of Commons is responsible. Some venues on the parliamentary estate are the responsibility of the House of Lords, which is a separate public authority for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act therefore you may wish to consider forwarding your request to them.
- The House of Commons Catering Service has sold the following number of alcoholic drinks across its venues between 8 May 2015 and 31 July 2015.
You also asked for a list of the prices of the drink across all bars. Owing to repeated requests for this information and to relieve the financial burden on the taxpayer to answer these requests, this information is proactively published on the Transparency pages of the parliamentary website.
As the information you request is reasonably accessible to you otherwise than under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 your FOI request is refused. In refusing your request the House is applying the exemption set out in section 21 (1) and (2) (a) of the FOI Act. This is an absolute exemption and the public interest test does not apply.
