Confectionery Sales (2016)
Could I ask for the detail by item of what confectionary items were bought from retail outlets on the parliamentary estate over the months of October, November and December of 2015?
Please note that our response only deals with confectionery sales in venues for which the House of Commons is responsible. Some venues on the parliamentary estate are the responsibility of the House of Lords, which is a separate public authority for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act. You may wish to consider forwarding your request to the House of Lords.
This information is held by the House of Commons
Please note that for the number of confectionery items from Catering Services outlets, the period covered is 25 September 2015 to 24 December 2015 reflecting the financial period dates held rather than calendar months, while the figures from the gift shops covers calendar months. For this request we have interpreted confectionery items bought in the House of Commons shops to mean chocolate and sweets.
Please note the figures provided are for confectionery items sold to customers, who include members of the public and visitors as well as the 13,000 pass holders on the estate. Food and drink prices are regularly reviewed and set at levels benchmarked against similar outlets outside of Parliament.
