Penny Young is Librarian & Director General, Information Services

The Department of Information Services is responsible for a range of research and information services for parliamentarians and the public. These include the House of Commons Library, which provides impartial, confidential information and research services for Members of Parliament in connection with their parliamentary duties, and the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology which serves Members of both Houses.

Other services provided are the parliamentary website and intranet, media and communications services, visitor and education services (including tours and visits to Parliament) and parliamentary outreach (which operates in all regions of the UK) as well as services provided by the House of Commons Information Office (such as answering enquiries from the public) and the Curator's Office.
