This is a full-day event that includes: talks and presentations by Library staff, a short tour of Parliament and a very rare opportunity to see the Members' Library.
Attending the event
The Open Day is on Tuesday 13 February 2018. Further details of timings and security arrangements will be provided to successful applicants.
Who can attend the open day
The open day is specifically aimed at people currently working as information professionals, including:
- Information Officers/Advisors/Analysts
- Knowledge Management Officers
As there are a limited number of places available, we aim to offer places from a wide range of people currently working across the different library and information sectors.
The cost of the open day will be £35 and will include refreshments and lunch.
Register your interest
To register your interest, please complete the application form and submit it by 17 November 2017.
Successful applicants only will be informed by 4 December 2017.
Successful applicants will be notified and sent a link to confirm their place and make the payment by either a credit or debit card.
Unfortunately, completing the application form does not guarantee you a place due to popular demand in previous years.
If you do not hear from us by 4 December, please assume that we have not been able to offer you a place.
Public visits and tours of Parliament
If you do not fall within the categories listed above, but are interested in visiting Parliament, further information is available on the Visiting Parliament web page.
Visits will enable you to attend debates and watch committee hearings, or tour the buildings.
Parliament has developed a series of virtual tours for you to explore some of its famous buildings and learn about the work and history of Parliament.
