British Ecological Society

The British Ecological Society was established in 1913 and has approximately 5,000 members worldwide, with membership open to all with an interest in ecology.

The Society supports one POST fellowship every year. In addition to writing a POSTnote with an ecology theme, the BES fellow will also arrange a parliamentary seminar to disseminate their work to MPs, Peers and parliamentary staff as well as other interested parties outside Parliament.

A selection of recent POSTnote briefings written by BES funded fellows:

POSTnote 572 - Managing UK Fisheries

POSTnote 547 - Environmental Crime

POSTnote 486 - Emissions from Crops

POSTnote 454 - Risks from Climate Feedbacks
