These emit radiation classed as a possible carcionegen. These should not be in our homes adding to all the harmful EMF's already there. The more of these type of radio waves, the worse they become for our health.

The health risks of microwave radiation on the level envisaged - entire communities with overlapping signal emissions 24/7/365 are completely unknown. This is a reckless gamble with public health. The security and privacy issues presented by "smart" meters are also unacceptable. There has been no debate. Official information is entirely one sided. Metering can be achieved by fixed static meters or wired transmission. Public Safety comes first. Not shareholder profits. And certainly not state or commercial surveillance.

I have real concerns about the health effects, long term, we should be given a choice.

I am already sensitive to EMF, I will not have any more electronics in the house that will add to my sensitivity. You don't know the long term effects yet. It will not make me use my electric any differently. I will be refusing to allow one to be installed as I understand it this is my right.

People have developed health symptoms after smart meters were installed in their homes. Among others, complaints have included headaches, dizziness, heart palpitations, seizures and nausea. There is strong evidence that the radiation from smart meters is very serious health hazard.

I am concerned about the amount of electromagnetic radiation which surrounds us and is increasing. Currently I turn off all wifi, cell phones etc overnight but fear that I would not have the option to turn off a smart meter and would have to deal with the potentially negative effects of the radiation. Another concern I have is that my electricity supply will be linked to a network that I have no control over. Fears of cyber attacks, government and utility company interference in the future and I also think it inevitable that utility companies will use this technology to force a tiered service with additional charges, similar to the way the broadband suppliers operate. I have no intention of allowing a smart meter onto my property and will fight for my rights to refuse installation up to and including going to prison!

There is nothing smart about these metres. I had them installed, the handheld bit stopped working within days ,so I had top up the metre up manual. The metre was high up and the tops up didn't work half the time!! These metres give if radiation.

I have grave concerns over the safety of these devices - show me lab results compared with other wireless devices
