It is extremely disturbing when people's rights to privacy and to be able to make healthy choices within their own homes are compromised by corporate decisions, which let's be honest are the ONLY long term beneficiaries of such schemes. I don't need it and I certainly do not want it. The fact that I am being bullied by utility companies and their like into complying or else face extortionate annual fines, is deplorable and clearly Orwellian.

No to smart meters in my home - electro-magnetic waves interfere with our health.

I am not happy with the use of technology that is not only potentially harmful to health but a security risk to my home. Based on reports from USA these meters can be the tipping point to become sensitive and cause a variety of health problems. The argument for them is based on people saving money by knowing exactly what electricity we are using. This can be achieved without expensive equipment that will be paid for via our bills. There is no proof that they will save money without active participation from the home owner. This is a huge waste of tax payers money for no provable benefit to us.

There will be no mandate for smart meter roll out , the health risk is too much .

No to a mandatory roll out of the Smart Meter Programme. There is nothing smart about these meters, they are a danger to our health, a violation of our privacy, have the potential to be hacked and data sold for profit, they are a fire hazard, they are costly, and do not benefit the consumer or the environment in any way.

Smart meters have been consistently shown to cause higher or more inconsistent billing, are hackable as they use Wi-Fi to communicate with collectors, are a privacy risk, and a potentially explosive health risk. Really bad idea!

I was made really sick after Itron 100G radio frequency RF transmitting gas meters were installed into my community. Classic Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS) symptoms showed up and I was diagnosed with the condition by a licensed medical doctor afterwards.

I strongly object to having this technology forced in to my home due to the potential health effects. I am taking many steps to reduce my children's exposure to radiation from wireless technologies, due to the mounting evidence of harm. We have a right to choose our environment and this is a choice that should NEVER be forced upon us, especially given the published scientific evidence of risk. Profits should never be put before health.

At best, the long term health implications of smart metres are simply unknown; at worst, the emerging science indicating the very serious risks is all correct. I am not prepared to be a guinea pig in this experiment.

Smart meters are not healthy in my view. I have concerns about whether they will be forced upon - I do not wish to have one installed in my home.
