Student Leaders training

Are you a student who wants to learn more about how the UK Parliament works, and how to engage with Parliament about the issues that matter to you?  You can apply to attend a free one day training course in Westminster.

What will I learn?

The free one day course includes a tour of the Palace of Westminster. You'll also have interactive sessions focused on:

  • Parliament and Government
  • Legislative Process: How to follow and engage with law making processes
  • Committees and Scrutiny: How to follow and engage with Select Committees
  • The People of Parliament: the role of MPs, Peers and House staff

You'll get a more-in-depth understanding of the UK Parliament's work and its effect on people's lives.

Who should attend?

Attending this session will be useful for student officers, activists and community organisers to plan more effective campaigns.

When is the training?

The next training day is on 22nd January 2018, 9.30am-4.30pm.  Applications for this date have now closed.

How do I apply?

There are limited spaces available and we expect a wide range of applications.  When applications open for future dates, you will need to submit a short application form which will be available through this page.
