House of Commons Academic Fellowship Scheme

The House of Commons, in partnership with the Political Studies Association (PSA), offers Academic Fellowships for senior political and social scientists currently researching or wishing to study the work of Parliament.

Who are the current Fellows?

We have five Fellows currently conducting research within the House of Commons.

What does the Fellowship offer?

Fellows have access to the parliamentary estate and House services, as well as a designated sponsor to help facilitate their research.  Fellows are also increasing the impact of their research by working with the House to build public understanding of Parliament, and inform, evaluate and enhance the House’s work and that of its Members.
Please note there is no funding offered for this scheme.

Who is eligible for the Fellowship?

The Fellowship is aimed at political and social scientists at a position of senior lecturer and above.

Can I apply?

The application process is currently closed, and will re-open in early 2019.
