That this House is deeply concerned about cases of child abuse in football; thanks Armadale Community Football club, the charity Enough Abuse UK and former footballer Andy Woodward for helping to raise awareness of child abuse via the seminar Are you able to prevent grooming and abuse?; notes that Armadale Community Football Club is the first football club in Scotland to put on such an event in conjunction with Enough Abuse UK, a charity aiming to reduce incidents of Child Sexual Abuse via education; further notes the bravery shown by Andy Woodward in speaking out about the abuse he suffered as a child at Crewe Alexandra; and recognises the importance of education in ensuring that perpetrators of such abuse are caught quickly.
