That this House notes with sadness the passing of Mr John Ainslie, the co-ordinator for the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), on Friday 21 October 2016; recognises that he was a fervent peace advocate and was an influential voice in championing nuclear disarmament; agrees that Mr Ainslie was a leading expert on nuclear issues; highlights the tremendous contribution he made to the Scottish CND, to the movement against nuclear weapons in the UK, and to the wider political community in Scotland; and offers his family and friends deepest condolences through this very difficult time.
