That this House applauds East Renfrewshire residents Hilary Alba, Anne Burns and Kate McConville on being selected to be part of the first group of Queen's Nurses in Scotland in 48 years; commends Hilary for her valuable services to midwifery, in particular her work with vulnerable asylum seekers; congratulates Anne for her vital work supervising the Family Nurse Partnership which focuses on providing help for mothers under the age of 19; recognises the importance of the work undertaken by Kate in delivering care to the elderly in homes across Scotland; notes that the prestigious title of Queen's Nurse is associated with excellence in the medical profession and awarded only to a select group of individuals in recognition of the highest level of commitment to patient-centred values; and wishes them every success as they embark on this important and worthwhile endeavour, as part of committed and dedicated teams.
