Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the sentencing of Nabeel Rajab, by Bahrain's Lower Criminal Court, to two years in prison on charges of "publishing and broadcasting false news that undermines the prestige of the state", and whether they intend to make a public statement regarding the case.

We continue to monitor the case of Nabeel Rajab and have raised it with the Bahraini Government at senior levels. We note the two year sentence given to him and understand there are further steps in the judicial process, including the right of appeal.
