Migrant Workers: Conditions of Employment
Commons
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what recent discussions he has had with Ministers of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on the effect of migrants working in the UK on Tier 2 skilled worker visas being subject to a 20-day annual limit on unpaid leave from work on those workers' right to strike; and if he will make a statement.

If a Tier 2 or 5 migrant is absent from work without pay for 4 weeks or more in a calendar year, their leave may be curtailed. Any decision to curtail will take into account all relevant circumstances, including absences due to strike action.
