Burma: Military Aid
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 16 January 2017 to Question 59322, what role the respect of human rights plays in the training provided to the Burmese Army.

The educational training provided to the Burmese Army aims to promote an awareness of the role and responsibilities of the military within a democratic system, and respect of human rights is implicit in the programmes delivered. There is currently no specific programme module within this training which focuses on the issue of human rights.
