Private Business

Rookery South (Resource Recovery Facility) Order 2011 Lord Geddes, on behalf of the Chairman of the Joint Committee, reported that the Committee had adjourned until Wednesday 28 November for a site visit, that being the next date that the Committee can meet.

Health: mental health A question was asked by Baroness Sherlock and answered by Earl Howe.
Young people: Staying Put scheme A question was asked by the Earl of Listowel and answered by Lord Hill of Oareford.
Bahrain A question was asked by Lord Avebury and answered by Baroness Warsi.
Partnerships (Prosecution) (Scotland) Bill [HL] Lord Wallace of Tankerness moved that the bill be referred to a Second Reading Committee. The motion was agreed to.
10 Justice and Security Bill [HL] The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 31. Amendments 33, 35 and 36 were agreed to (see division lists 1 to 3). Amendments were agreed to. The report stage was adjourned.
11 Care Quality Commission (Healthwatch England Committee) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/1640) Lord Collins of Highbury moved that this House regrets that the Care Quality Commission (Healthwatch England Committee) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/1640) fail to provide sufficient safeguards to ensure the independence of Healthwatch England from the Care Quality Commission, despite Government assurances given to the House at report stage of the Health and Social Care Bill on 8 March 2012, and that the Regulations fail to provide for effective national patient representation in the health service. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.
12 Justice and Security Bill [HL] The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 45. Amendments 45 and 47 were disagreed to (see division lists 4 and 5). Amendments were agreed to. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 56)
