On Thursday 14 July, members of the House of Lords debated the status of women and girls in the United Kingdom since 2010 with regards to their economic wellbeing, welfare, safety and opportunities.


Baroness Gale (Labour), who regularly champions women's rights in the Lords, put forward the debate.

This was a general debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.
