03 July 2018

Gavin Williamson, Secretary of State for the Department of Defence, provided a counter-Daesh update to the House of Commons on Tuesday 3 July 2018.

In the statement, Gavin Williamson claimed "Daesh remains the most significant terrorist threat to the United Kingdom because of its ability to inspire, direct and enable attacks on our interests."

Nia Grifiith responded on behalf of the Labour Party, and asked "what steps are being taken to achieve a ceasefire and a lasting political solution?"
