Indonesian President visits UK Parliament

The Indonesian President, Mr Joko Widodo, addressed Members of both Houses of Parliament on Tuesday 19 April in the Queen's Robing Room.

Commons Speaker, John Bercow MP, gave a welcome address introducing President Widodo’s speech.

The Lord Speaker, Baroness D’Souza, thanked President Widodo following his speech.

About President Widodo

President Widodo became President of Indonesia in 2014. Previously he had been Governor of Indonesia's capital Jakarta, and first entered politics as Mayor of Surakarta in 2005 following a career as a property and furniture businessman.
