This week in the House of Commons MPs debated the Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill and more.

Cities and Local Government Devolution Bill

This Government Bill was considered by a Committee of the whole House (second day) on Tuesday 17 November. The Bill will now be considered at report stage and third reading.

Legislation: Private Members Bills

Two Private Members Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:

On Friday 20 November MPs debated the Compulsory Emergency First Aid Education (State-funded Secondary Schools) Bill. The debate was adjourned and is expected to resume on Friday 29 January 2016.

Opposition Day debate: The economy and further education

On Wednesday 18 November, MPs debated the Government's record on the economy and further education.  As this was an Opposition Day debate the subject was chosen by the Labour Party.
