Secretary of State for Transport, Patrick McLoughlin made a statement in the House of Commons on Tuesday 17 December 2013 on Transport Infrastructure. Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Mary Creagh, responded to the statement on behalf of the Opposition.

The Airport Commission interim report

On 17 December 2013 the interim report from the Airports Commission into airport capacity and connectivity in the UK was published.

The interim report assesses options for meeting the UK’s international aviation needs, ahead of the publication of its final recommendations expected in 2015.
