Death of Lord Gould of Brookwood announced

The death of Philip Gould - Lord Gould of Brookwood - has been announced. The Labour life Peer died on 6 November aged 61.

Philip Gould, a Member of the Lords since 2004, was appointed while Tony Blair was Prime Minister and was a communications strategist and corporate adviser to the Labour Party.

In the Lords, he was a member of the Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments from 2006-08 and spoke on a range of education and communications issues.
