MPs debate remploy

16 December 2011

Ann Clwyd, Labour MP for Cynon Valley, moved a debate in Westminster Hall on Thursday 15 December on the subject of remploy

MPs debated the privatisation of Remploy employment services for disabled people and the recommendations contained in the Sayce report into employment support for disbaled people published by the Department for Work and Pensions in June 2011.

Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Maria Miller, responded in the debate on behalf of the Government. Watch and read the view expressed by MPs during the debate on Parliament TV and in Commons Hansard.

Westminster Hall debates

Westminster Hall adjournment debates allow MPs to discuss issues of local or personal interest which rarely have time to be debated in the main Chamber of the House of Commons. MPs can discuss a variety of issues and receive a response from a government Minister.
