Local Government Bill receives third reading

The Local Government Bill received its third reading, a final opportunity to debate and change the contents of the Bill, in the House of Lords on Tuesday 5 October.

The debate covered a discussion on the criteria and value of unitary authorities, and no amendments were proposed.

The Bill with amendments was sent to the House of Commons for consideration of the amendments made in the Lords.
