The European Scrutiny Committee questions the Foreign Secretary, David Miliband MP, on the EU accession of Croatia and Ireland’s second referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon. Watch from 10.30am.
The Foreign Secretary will be asked about the Government’s approach to the timing of and preconditions for Croatian accession to the European Union. The Committee will also ask the Foreign Secretary about the attempt at the recent European Council meeting to provide "legal guarantees" to meet Irish concerns in advance of Ireland’s second referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon.
