The dissolution of Parliament took place on Thursday 30 May 2024. All business in the House of Commons and House of Lords has come to an end. There are currently no MPs and every seat in the Commons is vacant until after the general election on 4 July 2024.

Private Notice Question in the House of Lords: 10 March 2023

The Lord Speaker, Lord McFall of Alcluith, has accepted a request from Baroness Taylor of Stevenage for a Private Notice Question (PNQ) on the subject HS2 delay impact.

The PNQ will be heard in the House of Lords chamber at around 1pm on Friday 10 March.

The wording the PNQ is as follows:

"To ask His Majesty’s Government what assessment they have made of the likely immediate and long-term economic impacts of their decision to further delay HS2."
