Participants should register and collect their credentials from the welcome desk situated in the foyer of the conference hotel (The Royal Horseguards) from 15.00–19.00 on Thursday 13 June. Badges can be collected in person, by delegation secretaries or by Embassy staff, but only at the time and venue specified above. Please note that the wearing of badges is obligatory, for security purposes, for all participants at all events relating to the Meeting.

The House of Lords has negotiated a preferential rate for Meeting participants which is guaranteed until 15 March 2013.  Bookings should be made directly with the hotel using the Hotel Booking Form available on the Meeting website and quoting the Booking reference block code: HOUS130613. Upgrades are available at a supplementary cost. Please note that the hotel has a no smoking policy.

Arrival / Departure

Please note that there will be no official transport between London entry or departure points and your accommodation. For any assistance with arrival/departure arrangements please contact your London Embassy.

Transport in London

Transport will be provided between the conference hotel and the dinner venue on Thursday, and between the conference hotel and the session venue on Friday.

Simultaneous interpretation

An interpretation service will be provided from and to English and French.  For other languages, interpretation booths will be provided for delegations bringing their own interpreters.  Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to reserve an interpretation booth.


Please note that it is forbidden to bring weapons into the UK.
