Publication of Tenth Report
Independence for statistics

The Treasury Committee will publish its Tenth Report, Independence for statistics (HC 1111), on Wednesday 26 July at 00.01 hours. This follows evidence taken by the Treasury Sub-Committee from users of, and experts in, statistics€”including the Royal Statistical Society and the Chief Statistician of Canada. The Sub-Committee also heard evidence from the Office for National Statistics, the Statistics Commission and from the Financial Secretary to the Treasury, John Healey MP.

Embargoed copies of the Report will be available to witnesses, government departments and accredited members of the press from 11.00 am on Tuesday 25 July at the reception desk at 7 Millbank, London SW1P 3JA. Embargoed copies will also be available in the press gallery, House of Commons on that day.
