CONNECTING PARLIAMENT WITH THE PUBLIC
Public evidence session
The House of Commons Modernisation Committee will hold a public evidence session in connection with its follow-up inquiry into Connecting Parliament with the Public as follows:
Wednesday 8 February at 9.35 a.m. Witness: Lord Puttnam, CBE, Chair, Hansard Society Commission on Parliament in the Public Eye.
This session will pay particular attention to the Report of the Puttnam Commission,
Members Only? Parliament in the Public Eye, as well as to the implementation of the recommendations in the Committee's own Report on
Connecting Parliament with the Public, published in June 2004. Since then, two follow-up Reports have been published: from the House of Commons Commission (First Special Report from the Committee, Session 2004-05 (HC69)), and from the House of Commons Board of Management All these documents are available on these pages.
The meeting will take place in the Thatcher Room, Portcullis House. As Committee Rooms are liable to change, those attending are advised to check the room location on arrival.
