The Scottish Affairs Committee will take oral evidence in public from:
Commission on Scottish Devolution

Witness: Sir Kenneth Calman, Chair, Commission on Scottish Devolution
The terms of reference of the Commission, which have been approved by the
Scottish Parliament, are: “To review the provisions of the Scotland Act 1998 in the light of experience and to recommend any changes to the present constitutional arrangements that would enable the Scottish Parliament to serve the people of Scotland better, improve the financial accountability of the Scottish Parliament, and continue to secure the position of Scotland within the United Kingdom.”
The Commission produced a first report on 2 December 2008, setting out its current thinking and inviting further discussion. The Committee will discuss with Sir Kenneth the findings of the initial report, and question him on how the Commission intends to proceed towards a final report. The Committee last took evidence from the Commission on 11 June 2008.
