The Innovation, Universities and Skills Committee was appointed by The House of Commons on 8 November 2007.

Membership of the Committee is as follows:

At the Committee’s first meeting on 14 November the Committee elected Mr Phil Willis to serve as Chairman.

Details of work to be undertaken by the Committee will be announced separately.

Under the terms of Standing Order No. 152 the Innovation, Universities and Skills Committee is empowered to examine the  “expenditure, administration and policy” of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills and its associated government bodies.
