The Innovation, Universities and Skills Committee will hold an evidence session in this inquiry on Thursday 17 January when evidence will be heard from:

At 9.15am

Professor Brenda Gourley, Vice-Chancellor, Open University;

Professor David Latchman, Master of Birkbeck, Birkbeck College, University of London;

Ms Sally Hunt, General Secretary, University and College Union;

Ms Gemma Tumelty, President, National Union of Students;

At 9.55am

Bill Rammell MP, Minister of State, Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills; and

Professor David Eastwood, Chief Executive, Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).

The session will take place in Committee Room 8 at 9.15am.

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms. It is advisable to allow about 30 minutes to pass through security checks. Committee rooms and the timing of meetings are subject to change. Those interested in attending the session should check the venue by contacting the House of Commons Public Information Office on 020 7219 4272 on the day before the hearing.
