EVIDENCE SESSIONS:  The humanitarian crisis in southern Africa

The International Development Committee agreed to conduct an inquiry (announced in a press notice dated 23 July 2002 (PN29.2001/02)) on the humanitarian crisis in southern Africa.  The Committee is pleased to announce that the following evidence sessions have now been arranged:

Tuesday 14 January, Palace of Westminster, 9.30 am, Witnesses:  Mr Max Lawson, Policy Adviser, and Dr Graham MacKay, Humanitarian Coordinator for Southern and West Africa, Oxfam; Professor Jonathan Kydd and Dr Andrew Dorward, Imperial College at Wye

Thursday 23 January, Palace of Westminster, 2.30 pm, Witnesses:  The Rt. Hon. Clare Short MP, Secretary of State for International Development, and DFID officials
