The Committee has completed its inquiry.
The Joint Committee's report on the Human Tissue and Embryos (Draft) Bill was published on Wednesday 1 August 2007. The evidence volume was published on 8 August 2007.
The Government Response to the Report from the Joint Committee on the Human Tissue and Embryos (Draft) Bill (Cm 7209) was published on 8 October 2007.
The two Houses of Parliament established a Joint Committee on the Draft Human Tissue and Embryos Bill (Cm 7087) which was published by the Department of Health on 17 May 2007. The remit of the Committee was to consider the draft Bill, and to report on it to both Houses by 25 July 2007.
The Committee's inquiry proceeded in a similar way to other Select Committee inquiries, hearings were held and written evidence received. The Committee also ran an eConsultation with the public as part of its inquiry.
