Home Affairs Committee Press Notice

  Session 2003-04, dated 21 January 2004


The Home Affairs Committee will publish its Report on Asylum Applications at 0001 on Monday 26 January (Second Report, Session 2003-04, HC 218).

There will be no press conference. A substantive press release will be issued on publication.

Embargoed copies of the Report will be available to witnesses, government departments and the press by email only on the morning of Saturday 24 January. Those wishing to receive an embargoed copy should email their contact details to Adele Brown, Select Committee Media Officer (brownac@parliament.uk , 020 7219 0724/07711 155 722) by 1500 on Friday 23 January with the header "ASYLUM REPORT" and stating the newspaper, media or organisation concerned. Copies of the Report and evidence will be sent to witnesses by first class mail on Friday 23 January.

The Report will be available from the Vote Office at 0800 on Monday 26 January and also  in the Press Gallery, House of Commons, from 1030.
