Evidence Sessions and Invitation to Submit Written Evidence
Foreign Policy Aspects of the War against Terrorism
The Foreign Affairs Committee has decided to continue its inquiry into Foreign Policy Aspects of the War against Terrorism and will hold the following two evidence sessions.
Tuesday 29th April 2003 Rt Hon Jack Straw MP, Secretary of State, and officials, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, will give evidence at
Committee Room 15.
Tuesday 3rd June 2003 expert witnesses will give evidence. The witness list and venue have yet to be confirmed.
The finalised details of the second evidence session will be posted on the Committee's website as soon as they are known. The Committee welcomes written contributions to its ongoing inquiry from interested parties. Such contributions should be sent in the form of a memorandum of evidence and should cover foreign policy aspects of any or all of the following points: the ongoing war against terrorism; the events leading up to military action against Iraq, including the role of the United Nations; the prospects for a Middle East peace settlement; and relations between the UK and Arab countries.
Those wishing to submit Memoranda should send them to the Clerk of the Committee at the address above. If possible, please supply an electronic version in MS Word or Rich Text format, either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or on a disk. If submitted by email or email attachment, a letter should also be sent validating the email with a clear indication of the originator=s name and address. Memoranda should reach the Clerk by 18th April if possible, and in any case by 22nd April.
