Commons European Scrutiny Committee and Lords European Union Committee

No. 8
(Session 2004-05)

On Wednesday 23 March members of the European Scrutiny Committee and several departmental select committees of the Commons, members of the House of Lords European Union Committee and MEPs representing UK constituencies will meet informally at Westminster to discuss matters of common interest.  These will include European "neighbourhood policy", new accession to the EU, development aid provided by the EU and the Services Directive.  These informal meetings bringing together UK MEPs and national parliamentarians take place about every six months; this is the fifth, and is the first one to be held in public.  This session will take place at 1.40 pm in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House, House of Commons.
