Learning the Sustainability Lesson


The Environmental Audit Committee's Sub-Committee on Education for Sustainable Development will take evidence from witnesses at the House of Commons as follows. This will form part of its inquiry Learning the Sustainability Lesson. Further evidence sessions are to be arranged in March and will be announced in due course.

Thursday 27 February         9.50 - 11.30 am

9.50 - 10.20 am -  Prof. David Uzzell, Professor of Environmental Pyschology, University of Surrey (tbc)

10.20  - 10.50 am - Prof. Bill Scott and Dr Stephen Gough, Centre for Research in Education and the Environment University of Bath.

10. 50 - 11.20 am - Mr Trewin Restorick, Director, Global Action Plan

This session will discuss what is already known about how we, as individuals, can be encouraged and motivated to live our lives in ways which are compatible with the Government's sustainable development goals.   

Thursday 13 March 

9.50 - 11.30am - Sir Geoffrey Holland, Chairman,  Sustainable Development Education Panel

Tuesday 25 March            

 9.30 - 11.00 am - Rt Hon. Charles Clarke Secretary of State for Education and Skills
