Committee to publish its Report

The Sub-committee was set up in March, and took oral evidence during June, from representatives of the poultry and egg industries, trade unions and retailers. Evidence was also taken from Compassion in World Farming and from Lord Whitty, a Defra Minister. Further information was gathered during the Committee’s recent visit to Brazil.

• Members of the media can collect them from the Press Gallery, House of Commons.

• They will be sent by post to all witnesses (including those who submitted written evidence), or, if preferred, they can be collected either by witnesses or by their representatives at 11.00 am on Wednesday, from Westminster House, 7 Millbank, London.

• The report will also be available from the usual outlets, including the Stationery Office bookshops (reference: Thirteenth Report of the Committee of Session 2002-03, HC 779-I).
