Oral evidence session

Ofcom Annual Plan 2007/08

The Culture, Media and Sport Committee and the Trade and Industry Committee will on 17 April hold a joint oral evidence session on Ofcom’s Annual Plan for 2007/08.

The witnesses will be:

• Lord Currie of Marylebone - Chairman, Ofcom

• Ed Richards - Chief Executive, Ofcom

The purpose of the session is to scrutinise Ofcom’s work programme including, among other matters:

• The Digital Dividend Review

• Broadcasting issues including the pay TV and advertising markets

• Premium rate phone services and participation TV

• Telecoms issues including BT’s undertakings and billing arrangements

The session will take place at the House of Commons in the Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House on Tuesday 17 April 2007 at 10.00am.
