The Communities and Local Government Committee will be hearing evidence on the Housing Green Paper - Homes for the future: more affordable, more sustainable - on:

Tuesday 9 October 2007

At 10.40 am. Yvette Cooper MP, Minister for Housing from the Department for Communities and Local Government.

The evidence session will take place in public, unless otherwise decided by the Committee, in a Committee Room at the House of Commons. Those wishing to attend the meeting are advised to use St Stephen’s entrance to gain access to the Committee Rooms. All members of the public entering the Palace of Westminster are subject to security search, so please allow time for this.

This one-off oral evidence session follows the publication of the Government’s Housing Green Paper and further sessions are not expected.

The Committee has already received substantial evidence on the current inquiry into the supply of rented housing and will be taking this into account while questioning the Minister. Organisations which wish to submit further evidence in light of the Green Paper may do so, but the Committee is not formally calling for evidence.
