The Business Innovation and Skills Committee announces today that it will look at developments following the publication of its report on Pub Companies in May of this year.

The Committee will hold an oral evidence session on Tuesday 8 December 2009 at 10.30am in Committee Room 8, Palace of Westminster.

Witnesses: British Beer and Pub Association, Independent Pub Confederation and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

To inform the Committee and its evidence session, interested parties are invited to submit comments. Comments should be e-mailed to no later than Wednesday 18 November and should be no more than 4,000 words.

The Committee would be interested to hear views on:

€ RICS' Pub Industry Forum Report and Recommendations;

€ BBPA's agreement with BII and FLVA to revise its Framework Code of Practice on the Granting of Tenancies and Leases;

€ The Independent Pub Rent Review Scheme (PIRRS); and

€ The formation of the Independent Pub Confederation;

As a consequence of changes announced in June 2009, the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform was replaced by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
